Water Recylcing
Wastewater Deionization (water recycling) is the application of ion exchange to segregated industrial wastewater for recycling rinse water as deionized (DI) water. Usually cation and anion exchange are used to remove the unwanted ions. Heavy metals can also be segregated on an additional cation unit for subsequent recovery in electrowinning where possible. Most electronic and metal finishing processes are well suited to closed loop rinse recycling using ion exchange.
